3 - 5 Year Olds
The preschool is set within a rural environment and the preschool children enjoy full use of all the facilities. Swimming, walks in the woods, home baking and gardening in the allotment are included in the weekly timetable. Children can attend morning, afternoon or full day sessions.
Let them be happy and safe:
Establishing relationships between you, your child and the staff is key and building your child’s confidence and independence is an integral part of our approach.
Let them explore and discover:
Planting fruit and vegetables to make some tasty soup, making a marble run to see how fast they can go or discovering how many birds they can see on a woodland walk.
Let them be curious and creative:
Finding out how bees make honey, what happens when you mix blue and yellow paint together, and asking why rainbows appear in the sky.
In the Preschool we continue to follow the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance, learning both inside and outside, whatever the weather. Your child will also start to recognise and write their own name and develop their communication, literacy and numeracy skills through a combination of structured adult-led and child initiated activities.
Sessions and Availability
There are currently 15 hours of funding available that you can use for 5 or 10 hour sessions. An additional 15 hours is available for eligible clients. Parents do not contribute towards the minimum entitlement but will be charged for consumables not associated with or covered by the funding entitlement.
We require a minimum of 15 hours to be used in our location.
Your funding can be used in one of the following ways:
5 Hour Morning Session
8am - 1pm
Includes mid morning snack and hot lunch
5 Hour Afternoon Session
1am - 6pm
Includes a hot lunch and an afternoon snack
10 Hour Full Day Session
8am - 6pm
Includes a mid morning snack, hot lunch and an afternoon snack
